YouTube Support

Aside from meeting strangers from the internet, my friends had taken note of my YouTube channel and for a very short while, they'd always call me "Nobelplays" which was slightly annoying at first but it just grew on me I guess. After not uploading for a long time and having started this blog, I realize how supportive my friends were and how I haven't been thankful to them.  I thought that I wouldn't be able to get much support from my friends since nobody wants to watch gaming videos and that support from stranger's comments and "likes" is more important since it was more likely to happen. But I was totally wrong. The most support that I received was not from someone half a world away, it was from those who I saw everyday coming into class, Those who I sat next to, had lunch with. They were probably the biggest support I got. I was just too focused on becoming "BIG" on Youtube to see it.  A few of my friends started making videos as well...

What I learned from YouTube

A lot of you may know that I have a YouTube channel by the name of NobelPlays where I just post gaming videos and such. With that being said, a lot of you might also realize that I haven't been posting any videos lately. I probably won't be posting anymore videos on that channel from now on since I've just lost interest in it. But making a YouTube channel and daily uploading videos was one of the more exciting and eye-opening experiences I've had.  What got me started was watching PewDiePie, that Swedish gamer who's also the #1 most subscribed all time. ALL TIME! I just watched and watched his videos and how easy it looked. All you had to do was to get a camera (even the camera wasn't neccessary), a good mic and a PC that can run Fraps without messing up your gameplay experience. I had all the necessary equipment to start so I thought "Why not?". I'd spend day and night watching all the "how to get more views" or "how to grow your ...

Film-making Part 2

Right, continuing where I left off.  A point of importance in making the film was that I didn't want to be in it. I just didn't think I was good enough to act since most of my friends love to comment on how emotionless my face is. No, I wanted to be the director. The guy behind the camera calling the shots making sure the film is as good as it can be. Now some of you might think I wanted to be the director just so I could boss my friends around and I know that being a director, I sort of placed myself in a position where I am telling people what to do. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy telling my friends what to do but hey! isn't the director suppose to DIRECT the actors? hehe. I filmed the whole thing in about 2 weeks. and in those 2 weeks I found out the hard way what it's like to be a director. Being a director doesn't mean that you're in control of everything, at least being a director at the level I was in. There were days where I'd...

Film-making Part 1

I know I mention and ramble on and on and on about making movies and that I probably should stop but I can't help it. Completing my first film in the 10th grade was a big achievement for me. And since then I've wondered if I should get back to it, but honestly, I don't think I am. In a way, I think it's better to see it as something that I did once upon a time in my life rather than something I'm currently doing all the time. I say that because right now, (and this is a LEGIT excuse) NONE of my friends are just interested in being in films. The ones I'm close to at least.  It all started in the 10th grade when I started to seriously plan what to do for my personal project. Basically what the personal project is is that you just have to make something out of a hobby or an interest that you have. Now originally I was going to teach a friend basketball and it was kind of perfect already. I was pretty close to him and he didn't suck SO MUCH that it was intol...

Quality, not Quantity

Sometimes, as a blogger (no, I'm not calling myself a blogger) or actually, as anyone who's made a new account for a service where they can share stuff i.e, Blogger, Youtube, Tumblr etc. You just have that vision right in front of you that you'll post something everyday and that habit will be solidified from today onwards and that if you post enough things that you think people want to read, it will open new opportunities for you and then you'll get rich and then bla, bla. bla (Wow, that was a long sentence).  I used to be like that. Posting something everyday JUST for the sake of posting something everyday even though I knew that the quality of that post was shit. It's ironic because I'm kind of doing that now...  Anyways, to anyone who's bored enough to click to view this article, I just want to say that just because you just made a new account somewhere, it doesn't mean that you should post everyday for the sake of posting. You should post when yo...

Welcome

Well, After about a solid hour of sitting on my ass coming up with a good name for the blog without using my last name in it.... I ended up using my last name anyways because every idea that was coming into my head had my last name in it. So now here you have it! Nobel Notes. My new blog.  For some of you who used to follow my old blog, This should be a good time to let you guys know that I deleted that blog a while ago. I thought of "starting fresh" again on that blog but I just didn't like the fact that I had hundreds of posts already. It just seemed stupid to do that.  Anyways, Here's my new blog! Follow it! or tell people about it or leave a comment. Enjoy!
